By our singing.
By learning about God and knowing Him.
Here is my day 2 discovery: Staying in Psalms lets read Psalms 78. To me it says take what’s good from the past & get rid of the bad so that we can pass on our hope in God to the next generation. I have 3 questions:
#1 What was the good that shaped you from the past in the church world?
#2 What was the bad that shaped you in the past from the church world?
#3 what is it currently that is shaping you in the church world? Let me know what you discovered! BTW- My pick of music today comes from the classic rock world…. Need to Breathe

Here is our Day 3 Discovery: Psalms 34….. This passage came from one of our elders, Dean Heard. What I found was that were rather than searching for self help counsellors and worldly fixes often times we would find a solution to our problems by simply turning to Christ and the word. There is no solution for cultural issues, frustrations, or any other situation that you can’t find the answer in the word of God.
Day 4 discovery: Switching gears out of Psalms (man I love that book for discovery) but I spent time today in Luke chapter 15, one of my favorites. Here’s my 3 questions. Which of the 3 characters (son, father, or brother) do you relate to the most #2 What did the father do when the son returned & why #3 Explain the meaning of the father giving the son the birthright early and how that correlates to our lives today (Jesus told stories and each part of this one has significant meaning but may be different for everyone) LOVE IT
Discovery day #5: The parables of Jesus embody much of his fundamental teaching. They are quite simple, memorable stories, often with humble imagery, each with a single message. Staying with his parables this morning I was in Matthew 13. Here are my questions? What kind of people today might be represented by the seed that fell on the path? What kind of soil do you most resemble now? What are the strongest temptations today that hinder our moving one step forward towards Christ? STAY WITH IT, 2 more days. GREAT JOB!
