R+R Details

Finally, a little R&R

Ready for some R&R -- a relaxing weekend focusing on your marriage?

Here are a few R&R tips.
  • The atmosphere all weekend is laid-back. Dress comfortably and in layers (Texas HEAT & AC).

  • Event check-in starts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday night of the event. The event itself gets underway at 7, so plan on arriving an hour early to catch your breath and approach this weekend distraction-free.

  • Sessions are about forty five minutes with plenty of breaks in between. All sessions are delivered in a group setting, with a speaker/audience format. So there’s no need to get nervous about individually sharing or small groups.

  • Insider tip: You’re finally away from the office, the dishes, the kids, the calendar. Make Date Nights the highlight of your weekend. Reserve a romantic table for two. Surprise your spouse with a gift you’ve tucked away in your suitcase. Or simply hang out the “Do Not Disturb” sign. (If you’re attending with friends, mark the evenings as “just the two of us”; save "double dates" for another time).
Weekend Schedule:

Friday
This is your “welcome to the weekend”! So check in. Pinch yourself: you really are away at last! Check out Century Square and/or set up your post session date for later. There will be light horderves at the session, so grab a bite to eat prior to the first session (or hold out for a late date).  And get ready to enjoy yourself.

Session One: 7 - 7:45pm

Session Two: 8 - 8:45pm

Saturday
(Don't worry...we've planned so you can invest in your marriage and still watch the Aggies too!  It's a WIN WIN.)

This is the day for the boost your marriage has longed for. Today’s topics include marriage must-haves, handling conflict in ways that actually work, and…marriage after dark. There’s a strong spiritual element, too, helping you glean principles from the Bible about a great marriage.

Session Three: 9 - 9:45am

Session Four: 10 - 10:45am
Dismissal from Cavalry Venue (est. 11:00 am)

Dr. Scalise will wrap up the R&R Weekend, speaking in both Sunday morning services.  The R&R theme will continue into Sunday.  We want you to finish strong and flourish!
