Frequently Asked Questions
What are your weekend services like?
Each weekend at Connecting Point Church, you’ll find a relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a life relevant message. We believe if we create the environment, God will show up in a big way. Children are well-cared for in our nursery, ‘Tiny Point’ and ‘Mini Point’, and our fun-filled children’s services, ‘Little Point’ and ‘Kid Point’ are rockin with dynamic music, message, crafts, games and small groups.
What will I experience on my first visit?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and be anonymous for a while and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, kick the tires, and see if isn’t as bad as you thought it was and God isn’t bigger than you could have imagined.
What should I wear to to your services?
You’ll find everything from board shorts and flip flops to suits at our Weekend Services. We see ball caps, flat brims, cowboy hats and no hats; Suit vests and biker vests, baggy jeans and skinny jeans, I even saw some cutoff jeans. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Connecting Point is not about what you look like or what you wear, It’s about you being authentic and taking the next step.

How can I get connected at Connecting Point?
We believe life change flows through relationships. We are blown away by all the good things God is doing around here. Whether you attend a weekend service, jump into a Point Group, or become a part of our Dream Team or Servolution teams- we believe you’ll love it. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to go after God with passion!
How can I grow in my relationship with Jesus?
Our desire is to see you become fully-devoted to following Christ. The only process Jesus had was to take the next step and follow. For some it’s the first step of following Jesus, for others it’s going public with baptism. In a world that often knocks the life out of you, we seek to be a place where people are refueled. If you hang out here for a while you will hear stories from people who have taken the first step, others whose lives that have been changed, for some- families restored, for a lot- addictions broken and hurts healed- we do it like Jesus modeled and encourage you to take the next step.
What are Point Groups?
Why do you have them? Point Groups are the backbone of Connecting Point Church; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our Point Groups. Point Groups allow you to do life with others and develop relationships that will help you take the next step towards God. As Connecting Point Church grows, Point Groups allow us to stay small and connected. Point Groups are available for all ages and interests– there’s bound to be one thats just right for you.
How can I get involved in a Point Group?
One of the easiest things to do at Connecting Point Church is to participate in a Point Group. Groups meet throughout the Bryan-College Station area and provide a place to make some new friends and get better connected to God. Wherever you live, there’s a Point Group near you. Check out our Point Groups page on the website under “get involved” and visit a group this week.
